About Me

I am President of Hurley Capital, which manages discretionary investment accounts on behalf of individuals, trusts and corporations. In addition, I advise a SEC Registered hedge fund. In total, I consult on over $100 million of assets under management. I also frequently lecture on personal investment strategies to professional organizations and community-based groups.

I've got more than fifteen years of investment experience in equities, fixed income, and commodities. I worked as an equity research analyst at SG Cowen, CIBC World Markets and First Union Securities (now Wachovia) specializing in technology companies. Before First Union, I was a copper and nickel trader for Trafigura AG, Marc Rich + Co, and Glencore AG and was based in New York, Moscow and Switzerland. I also worked at Hurley Group, a family-owned industrial/commercial real estate development firm with investments throughout Connecticut.

I graduated from Tufts University with a double major in English and German Area Studies. I am
a CFA charterholder and has completed the NASD Series 7, 63 and 65 examinations.
